Buyers Award – Terms and Conditions

Please note that the Buyers Award is redeemable subject to payment of a non-refundable reservation confirmation fee of R500.00 upon confirmation of a booking. This fee is payable by credit card via the One Year Gift website at the time of booking and is non-refundable, including in the event that the voucher holder is unable to occupy the reservation for any reason.

Due to the increase in confirmed reservations that are not occupied by voucher holders, this process has been implemented.

1. The voucher must be booked and redeemed within 24 months from the date of issue.
2. The voucher is valid for travel outside of school holiday periods and public holidays.
3. Transportation to and from the resort is for the guest's own account.
4. A refundable Key and Breakage Deposit may be payable when making reservations at selected resorts. Any refundable deposit will be processed electronically within 30 days after departure, subject to the resort's terms and inspection of the unit.
5. Cancellation and Amendment Policy
   • Any amendment or cancellation made within six (6) weeks of occupation will be subject to a fee of R1,500.00 to reinstate the voucher, failing which the voucher will be forfeited.
   • Any amendment or cancellation made more than six (6) weeks prior to occupation will be subject to a fee of R700.00 to reinstate the voucher, failing which the voucher will be forfeited.
   • No amendments or cancellations are permitted within one (1) week prior to occupation.
6. Please allow up to seven (7) working days for the registration of your voucher before attempting to make a booking.
7. The voucher must be registered on the One Year Gift website using the required information. A verification email containing the voucher and reference number will be issued upon successful registration.
   • An OTP will be sent to the cellphone number linked to the booking under which the voucher was received. The voucher may only be redeemed using this cellphone number.
   • The voucher may only be redeemed and used by the person associated with the registered cellphone number.
8. The resort reserves the right to refuse admittance if:
   • The booking confirmation letter is not produced.
   • The person checking in is not the registered voucher holder.
   • Valid identification cannot be produced upon request.
   • The number of occupants exceeds the maximum occupancy stated on the reservation, including children of all ages.
9. All resorts, accommodation, vouchers, upgrades and reservations are subject to availability, which may vary from day to day.
10. All meals, beverages and external activities are for the guest's own account.
11. Vouchers are not transferable and may not be redeemed for cash.
12. No amendments, alterations or additions to a voucher will be accepted.
13. Vouchers provide accommodation on a sharing basis for two (2) adults and two (2) children under the age of twelve (12) years.
14. No pets are permitted at any resort.
15. Only one voucher may be used per family.
16. The rental, resale, transfer or commercial use of One Year Gift reservations is strictly prohibited.

    Should a voucher holder rent, transfer or otherwise provide a reservation to a third party without written authorization, One Year Gift reserves the right to:

    • Suspend the member portfolio.
    • Cancel the reservation with full forfeiture.
    • Block future reservations.
    • Cancel any outstanding future reservations without compensation.
17. Clients receiving this voucher may be contacted regarding future promotions, offers or events hosted by the sponsor or its affiliates, subject to applicable marketing and privacy legislation.
18. All reservations must be made through the One Year Gift website. Bookings via telephone, email or any other channel will not be accepted.
19. Unit sizes may be upgraded to accommodate additional guests at a cost of R1,000.00 per additional room, subject to availability and a maximum of three (3) bedrooms per booking.
20. All resort rules and regulations apply to every reservation. Failure to comply with resort rules, management directives or security instructions may result in immediate eviction from the resort without compensation.

    This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Excessive noise.
    • Alcohol or drug abuse.
    • Immoral, disruptive or unlawful behaviour.
    • Any conduct contrary to the resort's rules and regulations.
21. One Year Gift reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

By redeeming or using this voucher, the voucher holder acknowledges and accepts these Terms and Conditions in full.
